Stage 6 1/2

Well, we had a great 1/2 day riding and a great afternoon in Jackson Hole. After breezing along for about 40 miles right past the "teenage" (according to the information posted along the way) portion of the Rocky Mountains better known as the Grand Tetons. There was absolutely no wind (we must be on the every other day wind tour) but the sky was overcast and a bit cool. The mountains were still spectacular. We arrived in time to do laundry and enjoy the hot tub. Then it was out on the town . . . that's why we're a bit late posting this entry. We had a few beverages at the Cowboy Bar and then ate buffalo and elk steaks downstairs.

Obviously, from the picture on the left, the Fosters met up with a surly character while in Jackson.

New Animal Sitings: bison, big horn sheep (from 2 days ago), elk

Urban Legends: things are inexpensive in Jackson and igneous rock wasn't involved in forming the Tetons

One more thing, we are back on schedule and will leave Jackson tomorrow for Colter Bay on the shores of Jackson Lake. We'll hit Yellowstone on Saturday.

Steve is way scarier looking than that Indian.
I am sure I would not want to meet up with that face in a dark alleyway!
