Stage 4 - Diesel Tailwind

This morning when we awoke to the sound of rain on the roof of RV, we rolled over in our comfy beds and slept in a bit...

we waited out the rain...rescued Rhett's tent from a flood zone, but finally hit the road. The day consisted of side wind, head wind, narrow shoulders with rumble strips and roughed up road...18 wheeler road spray and more rain and more head wind and more side wind...you get the picture...Thankfully we turned west onto dry road...still a side wind, but bearable...the scenery was spectacular...split rock mountains, red rock mountains, green mountains to the south...vegetation over 2 ft tall...ranches, horses, sheep and beef cattle. Spectacular indeed. We rolled into the city of Lander...where Rhett noted this is the first city we have been in where the population is higher than the elevation . After setting up camp at the Sleeping Bear RV Park, we felt so good we took a spin around the town. We took the bike route heading up toward Sinks Canyon State Park. Beautiful! Rhett said this must be the good part of Wyoming. Gramma and Grampa are taking such good care of us...happy hour :) and potato soup for dinner!!One more note: All you Foster's will get a kick out of this... Gma Lois and I ran into the market this morning for a couple of things...pretty soon here comes Rhett, the messenger boy..."Grampa wants you to buy donuts!!" We bought them. :) Love to all, Terry and the Epics
